Thanksgiving time! And that means food... lots of food! For Alecia it also means another year has passed.
She calls it her birthweek, while the rest of us only deserve a birthday. Something is wrong with that picture, but its gonna take some
work to either bring her down to a day, or bring everyone else up to a week. Maybe a compromise is in order. I'll have to put that on
my to do list.
I flew up to Chicago and Alecia picked me up from there. We headed straight to her home town, Crystal Lake which is about 45 to 60 minutes West of
Chicago. I had met her parents and brother previously on a visit to Purdue, so it was not really awkward this time. We ate some good dinners, watched
some TV, and Alecia and I went out for a movie. We also got to do some shopping at Best Buy for her parents anniversary. So it was several
events in one: birthday, anniversary and Thanksgiving. All of those warrant good food!

We spent a day playing outside, enjoying the brisk Illinois weather. I like the location of her parents' house, it is situated
right on a small lake (pond) that their community shares. It's rather peaceful

After hanging out with Alecia's family for the holiday, she and I took off for a trip to Chicago.
