Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

One of the nice things about Raleigh is the location. Two hours from the beach,
two hours from some decent hiking. If you want better, you'll have to drive further, but it isn't bad.
Everyone finds something to complain about, but that's people for you.
Still, there's nothing bad about grabbing some friends and heading out to the local beach for a day of surf and sun. I still have this thing against salt water. I hate going for a swim and then coming out feeling sticky and being covered in sand and pieces of shells. I can deal with it from time to time, but I hate driving home without a shower. Just laying on the sand and feeling the breeze is enough for me. It wouldn't hurt to have some decent scenery to look at too... Here's a couple shots of some of the group. For this outing, it was Alan, Trenton, Jennifer, Laurina, and myself. Jennifer had to go back early, so we took two cars. Laurina, Trenton and I ended up staying later than everyone else. The top shot is Alan, Trenton, and camera shy Laurina. I jumped in for the second shot. |

More Kodak moments. Some people hate having their picture taken. I'm one of those people. I just never seem to come out looking good. It must be the fault of the developer. (Yeah, I get delusional from time to time.) The first shot is of myself. The next two are Jennifer and then we have Alan & Trenton absorbing the sun. |
| Trenton, a.k.a. Kiteflyer, took advantage of the breeze and took to the skies with his stunt kites. I suck at kite flying, but Trenton was able to pull off some good flips and rolls with the 4 string kite. After some kiteflying, we played some frisbee with the locals and left for home. |
