IBM sent me on a trip to Oregon to visit Intel (Jones Farm Campus) to help discuss some software issues with our latest project. Luckily I got the chance to travel around the countryside on the last day of my stay. Portland is a great city, but the weather is a little on the gloomy side.

Cannon Beach is pretty cold at this time of the year. I got the chance to walk along the surf with wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Quite cold. And then the tide came in and soaked me up to my knees. I must say the rock formation at the coastline is quite impressive. Since I was already wet, I took the opportunity to climb around a little. Then I got to the sign that said 'No Climbing.' Oops. The pictures turned out okay though.

The coastline further down is also beautiful. There are quite a few national forests in Portland. There are historical markers for the Cannon Beach and some great views of the sea.
