Friends!
Padres from NCSU and the Raleigh area.
The 'best years' of my life may have passed, but I refuse to let them go without a fight. There's still many things left to be done and challenges yet to meet. Fortunately, I've met a few people along the recent way who have made living life a little easier and more fun. Now I can't go through and talk about everyone I've met since Virginia Tech, it would take me years of typing and lots of scanning to get pictures put together. This is just a page to recognize some of the pictures I do have already available and some quick blurbs to go with them.

Let me start with some of my friends I met through NC State. The graduate courses didn't allow for me to meet many people that I really want to talk about, but the Tae Kwon Do club did. Trenton and Laurina were already black belts when they came into the club. Tommy and Crystal started from the lower ranks and were working their way up the ladder when they quit. All of us lost interest in the club once the Master started revealing his personality to us. (Ryan was an excellent teacher, it was just Master Follick's personality that drove most of us away from the organization.) Laurina and I still keep in touch every now and then. Tommy works and hangs out with his girlfriend Sabrina, so we don't hear much from him anymore. Trenton kinda disappeared from the face of the earth. All in all a fun group of people.

Next on the page... ALAN! I first met Alan through working at IBM. He started out as a co-op in my department and basically it ended up where I was delegating to him. We got along really well and he was fun to work with. At that time, I was looking for a townhouse to move into and he was looking for a place to stay after his lease expired. I offered to share the house with him and he accepted. We get along incredibly well. We've never had a fight about anything. Sure there's some minor things here and there, but we both ignore the small stuff in life. Those things are forgiven and forgotten. Since we have very similar personalities, we get along with each other's friends, so many of his friends have become my friends as well and vice versa. He's been a house-mate for about 2 years now and things are awesome. We've listened to each other's problems and dished out some advice. I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Work. If it was easy, everyone would do it. But then again, everyone does work at some point or another, so it MUST be easy. Wow. And I get paid for something that's easy? Nice.

There's no way I could mention everyone from work. Waaaaay too many pepole. Those that are really good friends have joined me for some adventure or another so you'll find them on another page around the site. What I do have here are some photos that just do not fit into a page by themselves.

First up, a trip I took to Colorado. Greg Pruett and some of his friends invited me along on a ski trip to Colorado. It was an awesome deal and I just couldn't say no! So here's the photo of Ed, Greg, Brian and myself at the bar recovering from a good 7 hours on the slopes.

The next couple are some of the co-ops that I actually met through other people at NC State, but also work near me at IBM. Jordan works in a different department, but Leslie and Nazir work in my department. Leslie joined me for a trip to Florida for Spring Break, and Nazir has joined me for some skydiving. I've known Jordan for several years now, we've hit numerous parties and other outings together.

Here's an update from the year 2002. Lots of things happening in the Raleigh area! Alan and I bought a beach house together and have been enjoying that immensely. I've also met many many people hanging out with him, like all of the Wolfgang folks and their related friends. Jennifer also ended up moving to Raleigh, so we've had the chance to hang out more. I've dated on and off and met even more folks through that. (And a few pets to boot.) It's been a few good years. Cheers.
