It has been a while since there's been a Halloween party at my place.
I miss the old days of mass amounts of martial artists all showing up in weird costumes
and partying the night away. This time Alan's throwing the party and I'm having fun tearing up
the house for the occassion.
I made several trips to Spencer's for some blacklighting and found some cool neon paints that glow brightly under the light. I started decorating the place and found some help in Kaitlyn and Jennifer to get the rest of the stuff up. Alan took his turn and put some cool things up on the wall as well. My costume was going to be roadkill. Take a black shirt, some yellow & white electrical tape and put some lines running up and down the shirt. Then take a small stuffed animal and pin it to the front. Take a black magic marker and draw some tire tracks on the animal. I went so far as to take some of the stuffing out and have it running down the road... it would have been good if I could have found enough safety pins to finish pinning the road-teddy-kill to the shirt. Alan ended up using the blue paint for his costume. First party that I have had a member of Blue Man Group show up. Unfortunately the paint was not meant to stay on people and didn't last throughout the party. All the costumes were creative and made for fun conversation starters. Somehow an angel made it to the party, but as we all know... it was just a costume. There's a devil underneath. :)

The party went very well. There were plenty of people
and good costumes. As always there are arguments over the music, but we still had
some good tunes and good times.
The LPR (don't ask) wasn't up to the expectations set by previous parties, but it was a good excuse to play with the dry ice. The fog machine that I had setup was not working out either. I could cloud the room up in a hurry, but that was not what I was shooting for...

The pictures turned out fairly well. I took a bunch
with the tripod to get the backlight effect. Several of them blurred up a bit, but
at least the three at the top of the page came out.
The party went on until 3 or so... I don't remember. I know a few people did not make it home that night. Someone went out to sleep on the porch and then slept a little on the neighbor's porch and then slept on the next neighbor's porch... and then finally drove home. That's what a fifth of Jim Beam will do to you!

Buck took a bunch with his camera as well and I wanted to
post them here with the others. Thanks Buck!
