The first party at the new house! It's a bigger place than the townhouse, so
more decorations are needed. Alan hosted the party last year, so I took a turn this year. Plus
I managed to be in town this year, so I was able to do some decorating and preparation. Alecia did some lights
on the front of the house and we also put some around the deck. (The new and improved deck that is!) Mike
and Jen helped with streamers and such inside.
The party started around 7:30 or 8:00... People started pouring in around there. Before the party got underway, Alecia spent some time torturing... I mean dressing the kittens. Schmoo just ignored it, but Munchkin got a little more upset by the whole thing. Plus the trauma of having all the people there made her disappear for a while.

We had some good costumes. Scott & Jenny were some well dressed pirates. Buck was more of
a retro party animal. Jenell was the devil (of course) and Jen was a very frozen Tinkerbell. Mike was
a monk and Alan was a psycho. (Gotta check out the psycho-dance in the blacklight section below.) Matti was a witch, Alecia
was a Geisha and I showed up as Raiden. (I really need to work on shooting lightning from my fingertips.) We had
guest apperances by Slash from G'N'R and also Alice in Chians. We had the Trophy Wife with Husband, a Dad with a permission slip
for the evening, a 'Canes fan and a militant wife. Good times!

I turned the upstairs into a dance & music area. When no one was up there,
you could hear the music from downstairs, which worked out just fine. Folks ended up playing around up there
from time to time, watching videos, dancing and such.

I also got to put the Halloween village up on the counter
for display. A few pieces a year will get me a pretty sizeable village. With the dry ice, we were able
to get some neat effects.
