At last, I am a homeowner. Yet another reason to celebrate!
I bought a house in Raleigh, near the North Carolina State University.
It's a pretty sweet little townhouse, about two miles from campus, less than five miles from a
great shopping center, and about 500 feet from Lake Johnson.
So I threw a party to celebrate the loss of a substantial amount of money and the freedom that I would have to just pack up and move. Oh well. C'est la vie. The party was an assortment of people: ones I work with, ones from the school I used to go to, ones from the school I currently go to, and some other friends that have stuck with me through the years. Some people felt old, some felt young, but after a few drinks they were feeling better. Here are some photos of the various groups. The groups tended to stay segregated, so it makes for easy group photos. The first is of my local friends. (Ignore Gerald on the right, stealing my CDs.) The next is of the same group, after they moved outside. The next two are of Tommy & Crystal, who go to NCSU as well. The fifth and sixth are of the people I work with. Jeff is in the middle on that last one, playing the part of the chipmunk with his brownie. |
