Another wedding, another reminder that I'm still single! This time, it's
my younger sister to blame. Just kidding. Seeing her get married was very much an awesome experience and I'm
glad that I could be there to be a part of it.
The rehearsal went well. Not a whole lot to practice, I've seen enough of weddings and been in a few to know where to stand. Everyone has their own way of doing it though, just follow the leader. After the hour of running around the church we headed over to the restaurant for some food. Now getting more than one of us Ellison's in a room is just bad news. Me and my brother were probably being bit too noisy at the dinner table (as usual) and since we needed to target someone for ridicule, we picked on Jessica. She took it extremely well, so we then started into Tara. :) Here's the paper clipping from the announcement. The next shots are from our table at the dinner. After the shot of Lauren, myself and Mike we have Jessica and then Tara. And then we have a shot of Tara getting her head crushed by Brent. All in good wedding tradition! Then there is my older sister Leslie and her with her daughter Danielle and Lauren.

The morning of the wedding was a little hectic. There was all
of the last minute preparations going on, the bride and groom getting ready for the ceremony
and all sorts of other fun stuff to make the day that much more exciting!
Danielle, my niece, behaved for the most part, but she gets real nervous around a lot of people. Since she knew something big was going on that didn't involve her... Well she wanted some attention too! The families arrived and I had the pleasure of seeing relatives that I hadn't seen in quite a while. Kristen was in charge of the guestbook and Karen was helping out in the kitchen. My Great Aunt Catherine also flew into town for this event. More about the family later.

The ceremony went almost perfect. My brother and I were tasked with lighting
the candles at the altar. Lots of candles to light and I end up with the short wick. Figures!
Luckily Brent helped me out before I had to take drastic measures like lighting pulling out some
lighter fluid and a match. Those candles were going to be lit one way or another!
Lauren wore the dress that my late grandmother had made for my cousin Karen. Leslie also used the dress at her wedding 5 years ago. Such an awesome display of my grandmother's skill at creating wonderful things. All the ladies looked fantastic. And of course we put on our best rental tuxes to balance it out. The ceremony took less than a half hour and then we moved on to the after-ceremony picture taking. Lots more pictures to be done and then we were off to visit with the friends and family and grab some food. I can't wait to see how the photographer's pictures turned out.

The reception went well. Lots of food and lots of socializing.
I took the time to grab some breakfast and then visited with all of the family. Lots of
pictures to be had. I'll give them a run down.

After a while, the visiting had been done, the majority of the
food had been eaten and it was time to move on. There was still the matter of the garter
and the bouquet had yet to be thrown. So all the single ladies and gentlemen gathered up
for some target practice. The first was the bouquet. Tara had no problem muscling her way
to the spot to catch it. (It was rigged, I tell ya!)
After that was the garter. Mike took his toss and I had NO chance. I was outclassed by the 8 foot tall giant that just reached out and snagged it out of the air. I tried, but there was no hope. I was out-gunned. After a few more rounds with friends and family, it was time to pack it up. The bride and groom changed out and then headed out for their honeymoon. We grabbed a few more pictures as we decorated and loaded up their car. The excitement was over and they were off to enjoy the rest of the week. I ducked back inside to grab some cake.
