he new member of the family! Alecia originally wanted a puppy, but with all the travel and schedule issues we have, a puppy would be very difficult for us to give the proper attention. She contemplated it more and more and decided that a kitten would be much better for the time being and would give her a pet of her own as well as someone to entertain Schmoo during the day.
We went down to Garner to the PetSmart where there were several adoption agencies were participating in an adoption event. We ended up with a cute brown/black domestic short hair kitten. She was about 8 weeks old when we adopted her and in good health. She and Schmoo have hit it off and are getting along just fine. A few play-fights, which is all in good natured fun.
