The end of another year! Time for another NYE celebration. I travelled up
to Chicago to spend the time with Alecia and her family. We took it very easy for a few days at her house and
then on the last day of the year, took off for downtown Chicago. We stayed at a hotel in the downtown area and took
enough supplies to keep us "warm" for several days.
I took a few pictures of the city on the way to dinner at Sullivan's. It was a most awesome dinner. I took some pictures of the walk to and from dinner. It was dark and I didn't have any good way of steadying the camera, so they came out all blurry. But they still look kinda neat, so I'm going to post them anyway.

After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and then off to Navy Pier to see
the fireworks. The fireworks were pretty cool. I guess they had two of the exact same setups on the river,
you could see the same show happening several miles downstream. It was pretty neat, but for some reason, fireworks have lost
their big appeal. When I was younger, they were much cooler, now they just seem to be the same ol', same ol'. Maybe it's
because they haven't come out with anything new lately.
Once the firework show was over, we raced back to the hotel (on foot) to catch a cab to a small bar that was about 15 mins from the hotel. We drank, we got Chris drinks, we drank some more, everyone in the bar got Chris drinks and then we partied like our livers were brand new... Good times.
