When you feel the need for speed... get a motorcycle. Everyone who has been in the car with me just pictures me
hauling ass down the Interstate at 200 Mph, just trying to re-enact a scene from Mission: Impossible 2. Well, okay, you got me. The nice thing
about motorcycles is that when you're going the same speed as a car, you feel like you're going so much faster because you have the feel of the road
and the wind pounding you at 80 miles an hour.
A major advantage to having a motorcycle is parking. On campus, all of the motorcycle parking zones are the same. Faculty, staff & students all share the same spots. For $20, I can park in the nicest spots on campus nearest to the buildings. Most of the handicap spaces are futher away than the motorcycle spots. (Of course, most people consider that those in the motorcycle spaces will end up in the handicap spaces before too long.) So far, I've only put a few hundred miles on the bike. I need to replace the tires on it. The bike is 10 years old and it has 14,000 miles. Tires are not something you want to have go bad on a motorcycle, so I'm going to get a new pair that I know I can get several thousand miles out of. After that and a new helmet (that fits my big ol' head) I should be good to go!

I finally got the bike painted. Here are the photos from after the paint job. I also
had the front bumper replaced when I cracked it on someone else's bumper. There are a lot of duplicate pictures,
but oh well. Deal with it.
