As part of my new job, I have to travel to an annual sales
conference near our corporate HQ. This is my first year and it is held at the Laguna Cliffs
Marriott in Dana Point. It is a pretty neat place, but we spent most of the time there in classes
and sessions learning about the company and getting the information we need to do our jobs. I
ended up learning a lot more about other products than the ones I actually use, but it is a
good eye-opener as to what the company is actually involved in...
The hilight of the conference was Thursday night. Since everyone flies out on Friday morning, the company does a fun evening of group activities (mainly a morale boosting thing). This year they chose to do a Casino Night. It was a lot of poker, blackjack, craps, etc. Good times were had. (Nice open bar too.)
