Sexton Wedding - 2000
     Waldorf, Maryland
Another season, another good set of friends married. This time the victims were Chris Sexton and Kelly Tullos. I met both of them through the Virginia Tech Tae Kwon Do club. Chris first about 2 years before I left and then Kelly through Chris. I spent several visits at Tech with them and had some fun. Chris has even let met take his Jeep 4-Wheeling a time or two. Which brings me to the first pictures.

I arrived at the wedding a little early. Long drive from Raleigh to Waldorf, but still worth the trip. I was a little fidgety when I arrived, so a little coaxing from Chris's friends gave me the courage to take his sparkling-clean jeep and "fix it" for him. I found the keys and my accomplice (name removed to protect D.J.) and I drove down the road behind the church until we found some mud. Just getting the Jeep dirty wasn't enough. It had to be artistic. We splattered the front appropriately and then wrote the traditional "Just Married" on the side. I was gonna get creative with the text, but I figured I was pushing the limits of taste.

After the evil deed was done, I took a couple pictures of the work and then hid inside and socialized until the wedding.

The wedding went very smoothly. Gerald, who is listed in the program as the Bouncer, didn't have to bounce anyone. Too bad. I've never been to a wedding where someone had to get thrown out. Since Chris, Kelly, Gerald and I did Tae Kwon Do at VT together, it would have been fun to watch. Maybe next time.

After the wedding, I had to stop by the local card shop for a sympathy card. I suck at getting gifts for weddings. I prefer to give money. It's the lazy way to go, but no one EVER complains about getting cash. I don't have to worry if it's the wrong color, size, pattern, whatever. Consider it all the gas money you'll need to return the other unwanted gifts back to the store.

I was not able to stay as long at the reception as I wanted, but I still managed to do enough damage while I was there. It was a beautiful event really. I got to see many of my Virginia Tech friends and even make some new acquaintances. I left Waldorf in time to get back to Raleigh to go out with David, Kathy and Heather. (Priorities!)
